* Excursion to the Defreggen Valley to Werner

The starting point of the tour is St. Jakob in Defereggen. This moderately difficult hike follows easy trails and gravel roads and requires a good basic level of fitness. In total, plan for around 4 hours of walking time and approximately 820 meters of elevation gain.

After about 2.5 hours, we reach the Seespitzhütte, where a cozy stop for refreshments is possible. The tour delights with diverse flora and impressive views over the Defereggen Valley, stretching all the way to the Staller Saddle and the striking Hochgall.
