Höfersee

The mountain lake is located above the community of Tannheim, hidden in the middle of the forest. The Höfersee is a small body of water. The circular route to the lake leads from the parking lot of the Rohnen lifts along a forest path and back again. This leisurely walk into the greenery takes about an hour and covers 300 meters in altitude.

One thing is always the same: the steel-blue sky with the impressive mountain panorama, the fresh, healthy mountain air in your nose and the crystal-clear water that almost magically attracts you. The Vilsalpsee, which is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol, is located in the middle of the nature reserve of the same name.

Swimming there is allowed and free of charge, although the water temperature usually does not reach more than 17 degrees.
