Good Friday is the Friday before Easter. It follows Maundy Thursday and precedes Holy Saturday. Christians commemorate the suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the cross on this day. Good Friday is also known as Silent Friday or High Friday.

This three-day Easter celebration is the oldest and highest festival of the church year in all denominations.
