A strength circuit (circuit training) is a training method in which different exercises (at least 5) are completed one after the other in a specific order at different stations, often with short breaks in between, to train muscles and endurance and boost the metabolism. Different muscle groups are always worked alternately, which allows short recovery phases for the working muscles and results in an effective full-body workout. The training is adaptable for all fitness levels (beginners to professionals) by varying the intensity and breaks and often requires little to no equipment, but can also be performed with equipment such as dumbbells or special machines.
