Kellerei Terlan is one of South Tyrol’s most prestigious and internationally acclaimed cooperative wineries. Founded in 1893 in the wine village of Terlan, the winery was established by a group of local winegrowers determined to highlight the extraordinary potential of the region’s terroir. Today, numerous member families carefully cultivate the steep vineyards surrounding Terlan, Vilpiano, and Siebeneich.
Kellerei Terlan is especially renowned for its long-lived, mineral-driven white wines, considered among the finest in Italy. The volcanic quartz porphyry soils give the wines remarkable freshness, elegance, and ageing potential. Iconic labels such as “Terlaner”, “Vorberg”, “Nova Domus”, and particularly the exclusive “Terlaner I Grande Cuvée” have become symbols of excellence in South Tyrolean winemaking. The winery also produces refined red wines, including Pinot Noir and Lagrein.
One of the winery’s most distinctive features is its historic wine archive, where bottles from many decades ago are carefully preserved, demonstrating the exceptional ageing capacity of Terlan wines.
The winery offers guided tastings, cellar tours, and wine experiences that introduce visitors to the culture and tradition of South Tyrolean winemaking. Wines can be purchased directly at the winery shop or conveniently through the official online store.
