HEART OF JESUS FIRE

In order to give special expression to the bond with the homeland, mountain fires are lit every year on the Sunday after Corpus Christi, the Sunday of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The lighting of mountain fires goes back to a medieval custom. In mid-June, the sun reaches its highest point on the summer solstice and therefore has a special power. Fire is a symbol of the sun. It stands for healing, fertility and blessings for humans, animals and nature.

In the evening at 8:15 pm, the Nauders music band plays its annual Herz Jesu concert at the pavilion and is looking forward to welcoming numerous listeners!
