Winter hiking tours: directly from your chalet

Riverwalk Drau (2 hours)

The Drau Dam - a popular bike path in summer - is perfect for winter walks. Hike along the Drau to the Loacker, to Sillian or Tassenbach.

Tip: Reservoir circuit Tassenbach

Walk in the direction of Lienz to Tassenbach. There is a small reservoir with a nature trail that can be circumnavigated.

Gschwendter Höfe (1,5 hours)

From our fairy tale meadow the path leads to the right to the Asthöfe. There, at the small chapel, take the ascending path branching off to the left to Gschwendt and back again.

Alternative way back:

At the Gschwendter Höfe, the toboggan run (also on foot) leads back to the valley. Now follow the Drau riverwalk on the left back to the resort.

Castle round trip (1 hour)

Walk to the main road, turn right over the old wooden bridge and then continue for about 50m. On the left side of the Weber farm begins the Franz-Kofler-Weg, named after the former mayor of Heinfels. Hike up to the old castle chapel. From there, a path leads to the left around the castle for about 200m on level ground and then left down into the valley and along the Villgraterbach turn back to the resort.
