Winter hiking: Fiscalina Valley & Kartitsch

The Fiscalina Valley (South Tyrol) is a small side valley branching off from the Sesto Valley and has been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2009. From the parking lot Fischleintal the sunny path leads you through the idyllic landscape of the nature park "Sesto Dolomites", past some peaks of the Sesto Sundial and in to the "Talschlusshütte hut", where a delicious "Kaiserschmarrn" awaits you on the sunny terrace or in one of the rustic wood-paneled room.

Kartitsch in East Tyrol is the first winter hiking village in Austria. Located in one of the most beautiful high valleys of the Alps, the idyllic mountaineering village fulfills the longing for winter experiences close to nature. Meditative silence in the snowy winter forest, interrupted only by the crunch of footsteps in the snow or the occasional call of a forest animal. Your own breath in the clear winter air sets the rhythm. The breathtaking mountain panorama makes the effort feel effortless.
