Stoanerne Mandlen

The "Stoanernen Mandln" are one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Sarntal Alps: from here you can overlook the entire Dolomite world as far as the Marmolada and King Ortler. Be sure to take a hike to these more than 100 stone men. The columns of sandstone slabs await you like a troop of soldiers.

The hike starts at the "Sarner Skihütte" refuge, above Sarentino, in Auen. Follow the forest road (path no. 2) to the Auener Alm hut or alternatively you can take a shortcut after the bridge along the path. From there, continue towards the Auener Jöchl and then left again towards Stoanernen Mandlen (path no. 23).
