Together we hike on snowshoes from the entrance to the valley to the Knappenstube, where we can warm up and fortify ourselves with our own tea
and a small snack before we explore the front area of the Schaubergwer Hochfeld.
Equipped with protective clothing and helmets, we enter the "Hieronymus-Erbstollen". The ranger will tell us about the life of the former miners and the mining industry.
Equipment:
Sturdy, ankle-high footwear (ideally mountain boots); warm socks, ski poles, warm clothing (incl. hat and gloves), sun protection, alpine rucksack (20-30L) with warm drinks and snacks.
Snowshoes and poles can be borrowed free of charge from the national park administration. If you need them, please let us know when you register.
