Excursion to the lake Grande in Maranza with Werner

This challenging but very varied hike starts at Maranza at the beginning of the valley Pusteria. The lake Grande in the mountains of Fundres is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes of our area. A part of the return way we ride a bike. After a stop at the rustic Wieser Alm, the return journey is by rented bike through the Altfass valley to the Meranza valley station. Costs for the Gitschberg cable car € 15,-, for bike rental € 7/8,- per person. Start with the hotel shuttle (limited numbers of participants, possibility to follow with your own car). Total walking time ca. 4,5 hours, altitude difference ca.400 m.
