"Silent Night—Holy Night" in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal

During Advent, local artisans invite you to linger, browse, and shop. On display are Zillertal crafts, such as handmade "Doggeln" hats, nativity scenes, and gift ideas made from natural materials.

Local choirs, "Klöpfelsinger" singers, brass ensembles, and communal singing create a festive atmosphere at the Waldfestplatz. A visit to the Mayrhofen Advent at the Waldfestplatz is sure to be a special experience for all children. A visit from St. Nicholas, the bakery, and the petting zoo—among many other attractions—will make children’s eyes light up.

From Mayrhofner Hauptstraße, a 300-meter walk leads through the romantic Scheuling Forest to the Waldfestplatz.

The festival grounds are surrounded by rustic, open, and fully equipped log cabins and a concert stage. Special lighting transforms this charming spot in the forest into a cozy, almost mystical setting. The cabins are furnished so that visitors can sit at comfortable tables and chairs, snuggle up in blankets, enjoy culinary delights at their tables, listen to music, watch plays, and spend quality time with family.
