A more challenging hike with spectacular views
We drive along the toll road up to 1,800 meters to the Schlegeisspeicher.
From there, we hike toward the Olpererhütte. The ascent takes about 1.5–2 hours—from the Olpererhütte, it’s just under 2 minutes to the Instagram hotspot in question: the suspension bridge over the reservoir. After a quick snack, we head back to the parking lot.

🚶↔ Hike: approx. 1.5 hours
🏔️↑ Elevation gain: approx. 600 hm
🥾 🥾 🥾Difficulty: moderate to difficult ‼️ Sure-footedness is a must!
🍽️Place to stop for a bite: Olperer Hut
Equipment: sturdy, ankle-high hiking boots, a spare T-shirt, water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, rain/wind jacket, cash for refreshments. (In fall: hat, gloves, warm jacket)
!!WATERPROOF HIKING BOOTS REQUIRED WITHOUT EXCEPTION!!

- Tolls and transportation costs will be charged on a pro-rata basis. There are 8 seats available on our hotel bus. If the bus is already full, please follow us in your own car.
