Details

Drachi's via ferrata is the perfect challenge for adventurous young people to test their own limits. Secured by a steel cable, you can climb a 40-metre-high rock face on the Geisterberg. The ladders and rungs are mounted in such a way that children and young people aged 12 and over can climb them.

When climbing the via ferrata, it is important to have the right equipment, which must be specially adapted for children. Climbing harnesses, rockfall helmets and via ferrata sets can be hired from the sports store at the valley station of the Alpendorf gondola lift. The via ferrata can be tackled with light mountain boots, but these should be particularly non-slip for the necessary grip on the toes.

Drachi's via ferrata is located on the Geisterberg/Gernkogel and can be reached with the Alpendorf gondola lift (operating times: www.snow-space.com). From the top station of the gondola lift, head uphill towards Buchauhütte. At the Buchauhütte, turn left onto the Drachenweg and then reach the via ferrata.
