Every year, when the herdsmen get ready for the cattle drive after a beautiful but also exhausting summer on the alpine pasture, decorate the cows magnificently with flowers and then march down into the valley with their heads held high - then the time of the cattle drive has come!
In Balderschwang, the cattle drive is celebrated every year on a manageable scale with approx. 120 head of cattle in the center of the village near the parking lot at the fire station.
The Balderschwang volunteer fire department is very concerned about your physical well-being and will therefore provide you with many "tasty" treats on this "festive day", such as the homemade cakes that the women from Balderschwang make available to the volunteer fire department.
