Tux-Center in Tux-Lanersbach

Lanersbach 492, Tux
From the Tux Center, we take the hiking cab to Stoankasern, where the last mountain cheese dairy in the Zillertal is located. From there, we first walk through lovely alpine pastures, accompanied by the eyes of curious marmots that inhabit this area in large numbers. After a few small terrain steps, our path turns to the right, overcomes a steep grassy slope and a short rocky passage in several serpentines. Once we have managed this, we are rewarded with the view of the beautiful Junssees, which now lies at our feet. From the lake, the trail leads through the scree slope to a ridge, from where it is only a few minutes to the summit of the Geier (2,857 m), where a fantastic mountain panorama awaits us. After our return journey, the hiking cab takes us back down into the valley to Lanersbach.
