Alpine cattle drive in Fulpmes

The cattle drive in Fulpmes is one of the most atmospheric autumn events in the Stubai Valley. When the animals return from the alpine pastures to the valley, the village center of Fulpmes is transformed into a colourful celebration zone full of customs, music and culinary delights. The cattle drive is not only a sign of a successful alpine summer, but also a lively piece of Tyrolean culture that attracts numerous visitors every year.

Programme:

from approx. 11:00 a.m. farmers' market in the Fulpmes pavilion with musical accompaniment

approx. 12:30 p.m. arrival of the animals in the village

followed by a festival in the pavilion with live music

Lived tradition in the heart of Fulpmes

The cattle drive has a long history in Fulpmes. Here, the festival is lovingly organized by the rural youth and young farmers, accompanied by many volunteers from the village. The cows, elaborately decorated with colorful flower wreaths, mirrors and bells, as well as other animals, parade through the center of Fulpmes - an impressive spectacle that expresses respect and gratitude towards nature and rural life. Especially for guests from the city, it is a special experience to experience this originality up close.
