From here, a forest trail leads to the Niggeltalalm. Right by the stream in front of the hut, you can still see a well-preserved waterwheel that was once used for churning butter.\n\nThe trail then continues along a beautiful alpine path through the Niggeltal Valley, where many different flowers bloom, especially in early summer. The Igltal is also one of the areas in our valley with the most wildlife; with a little luck, you might even spot chamois in their natural habitat. The trail continues past the Tennköpfl up to the Heukareck. Once we reach the summit cross at 2,100 meters, we’ll be rewarded with an impressive panoramic view of the Salzach Valley and the surrounding mountains.
