Neuschwanstein Castle

Construction of the idyllic Neuschwanstein Castle began in 1869. After the death of King Ludwig II in 1886, construction was interrupted and the fairytale castle was opened to the public. The shy king had the castle built in order to withdraw from the public eye - his retreat later became a magnet for the public.

Opening times:

Summer opening times until October 15: daily from 09:00 to 18:00

Winter opening times from16. October: daily from 10:00 - 16:00

Reserve your guided tour for Neuschwanstein Castle or Hohenschwangau Castle at our hotel reception by 14:00 the day before. Ticket requests over the weekend can be made by Friday 14:00 at the latest.

Of course, you can also purchase tickets online via the castles' homepage or on site at the ticket center.

From the hotel, drive to the main road and turn right. Drive straight ahead for about 100 meters and then turn left towards Hohenschwangau.
