Janita-Madeleine Wiesbacher & Andjela Bolesnikov
This piano recital for four hands invites you to enjoy, dream and immerse yourself in other musical worlds. The program is multifaceted and spans several eras of music history. It combines profound, emotional music with light, playful French sound art - most of them works that belong to the classics and are listened to again and again.
The concert begins and ends with impressionistic French music: Claude Debussy's Petite Suite opens the evening with colorful soundscapes, while Gabriel Fauré's Dolly Suite closes it with lightness, charm and playful elegance. These works frame a center of particular depth:
The focus is on the music of Franz Schubert, whose two most important works for piano four hands - the dramatic Allegro in A minor D. 947 ("Storms of Life") and the great Fantasia in F minor D. 940 - enclose Johann Sebastian Bach's aria "Sheep can graze safely". This creates an exciting contrast between intimate calm and existential depth.
You can look forward to two young pianists who will breathe new life into the old masters and accompany you through this special concert evening with their dynamic, fresh interpretations!
