After an ascent through the village, you reach the first vantage points towards the Alps and Salem Valley via orchards and forest paths. Comfortable benches and wooden loungers are available here for particularly comfortable breaks. Soon after, the hiker reaches the Bermatinger Waldwiesen meadows - and is immediately enchanted by the unique atmosphere of this rare type of clearing: naturally grown meadows, lined by dense forest and crossed by a narrow stream invite you to enjoy a picnic, preferably at a rest area.

Relaxing adventure hike with the Alps in view

Further on, you approach Wiggenweiler and the farm of the same name surrounded by paddocks (with Regiomat) via fields and country lanes. Just a few hundred meters further on, the tour leads past the former Weppach monastery and soon onto a narrow forest path down to the Weppachbach stream.

Now it's not far to the final highlight of the circular route, which once again offers magnificent views of the northern mountain ranges of the Alps on a clear day. The vineyards, where special signs in this area reveal many interesting details about the grape varieties grown, lead gently down to the edge of Bermatingen, where the tour ends in the historic town center.
