Non-smoking, no pets or parties allowed:

This is a non-smoking apartment, please respect this rule for health and safety reasons and do not smoke in the house! If you must smoke, please do so on the terrace, use the ashtray provided and dispose of ashes and cigarette butts safely and correctly (do not throw over the balcony or into the flower beds - fire hazard!).

This is a pet-free house. Some of our family members are allergic to animal fur. We ask that you do not bring your pets.

This is a quiet residential area. Parties are not allowed on the premises.

Animals:

The house is located near the forest. Please do not feed wild animals (e.g. squirrels) in the garden. This could encourage them to come into the house. Up in the loft there is an electrical device that emits a low frequency sound to deter mice and other animals from entering the house. We recommend leaving it on. If this bothers you, please unplug it, but plug it back in when you leave the house or at the latest when you leave.

Operating instructions:

The instruction manuals for the various appliances are located in a box in the kitchen. Please read them if you have any questions.

Heating:

Summer: The heating does not work.

Winter:

There are two heating systems in the house.

First floor (UG): The heating is located in the bathroom. We recommend setting it to 5. If you get too cold when showering/bathing, please set it to 10. It heats up very quickly. Afterwards, please turn it back to 5 (for energy efficiency). Do not touch the moving parts inside the heater and do not leave children alone in the bath. Do not cover the heater with objects (e.g. to dry laundry on the heater). It can overheat and catch fire!

If the heating is switched on, please make sure that you switch on the fan in the bathroom, or alternatively leave the door (slightly) open to get enough oxygen.

First floor and upper floor (EG and OG): The heating control is located in the entrance area of the first floor. Please turn the temperature control to approx. 20 degrees (where the mark is). There is a switch for day and night operation. When you go to bed, please switch on the night mode. The next morning, switch it back to day mode. The heating connection is located in the kitchen and upstairs in the hallway in front of the bedrooms.
