Route description
130 vertical meters | 2.5 km (outward route)
We start at the end of the village of Schlining, where there is a parking lot. The path is accompanied by a Way of the Cross. Soon the valley basin opens up and provides a view of the surrounding mountains of the Sesvenna group: Muntpitschen (3162 m), Föllakopf (2878 m), Piz Sesvenna (3205 m) etc. The Schliniger Alm (1886 m) is easily reached after about an hour. There you can enjoy delicious regional food with home-made products and there is plenty of space for children to play.
Cross-country skiing center
The cross-country Nordic Center Schlinig is a top spot for cross-country skiers and biathletes. Not only does the international cross-country skiing scene meet here, international competitions are also held here every year. The 15 km long circuit at Watles is suitable for both classic cross-country skiing and skating. The medium-difficulty trail leads from Schlinig (1,726 m) to the Schliniger Alm and has a total difference in altitude of 230 meters.
