Details

Fables, nature and historical sites accompany us on this varied hike. Old paths, special viewpoints and tranquil alpine landscapes tell of the history around Tiers.

Tour description:

We start by taking the Cabrio cable car up to the Frommer Alm and continue with the König Laurin 1 cable car to the middle station. From there, we first hike to the Eggental mountain cinema with a view of the Latemar. We then follow the legend trail across the Tummel and fishing meadows to the Haniger Schwaige, where we take a short break. We then descend towards the Plafötsch Alm and continue along the path until the forest road branches off into the Tschamin Valley. Our route leads us to the Steger Säge sawmill with a visit to the nature park information center.

Finally, we visit the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park information center in the Steger Säge sawmill. Unfortunately, the old Venetian saw cannot be shown at the moment as it has been damaged by a storm. Nevertheless, it is well worth a visit: In the lovingly restored sawmill master's home, you can expect exciting insights into alpine craft culture, geology, as well as the flora and fauna of the nature park - with audio stations, a small film room and interactive exhibition elements.

We finally return to the cable car via the Forest & Water nature trail.
