Experience a loop hike in the Tux Pre-Alps: Gartalm – Loassattel
Meeting point: 8:30 a.m. in front of the hotel entrance

We’ll take the hotel bus together to the starting point—the first 7 people to register can ride the bus; the rest are asked to follow in their own cars
Starting point: Schellenberg parking lot; Place to stop for refreshments: Gartalm
DON’T FORGET: plenty to drink, a spare T-shirt, a small snack, granola bars, proper footwear, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and hiking poles (optional)
From the Schellenbergalm (1,310 m), a wide forest and hiking trail first leads us to the Waldsteig toward Gartalm Niederleger. Over the final few meters of elevation gain, the trail narrows and becomes rocky—sure-footedness is required. After that, the route climbs steeply uphill along the “Bruno Bärenweg” to the Gartalm Hochleger.
Throughout the entire ascent, we’ll enjoy a beautiful mountain and alpine landscape, and at the Gartalm (1,830 m), we’ll be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Zillertal mountains.
You can stop for a break at the hut. After a refreshment, we continue hiking at the foot of the Kuhmesser to the Loassattel (1,683 m), a plateau between Hochfügen and the Inn Valley.
