Details

Füssener Hütte: The alpine dairy had existed since 1837. After the owners of the hut changed several times, the hut was converted into the hunter's hut of the mountain hunters in 1938, who used the hut until the end of the war in 1945. Since then, the Füssener Hütte has been used as a mountain hut. The Otto-Mayr-Hütte is an alpine club hut of the Augsburg section of the German Alpine Club. The hut was built in 1900 by the Augsburg Section under the leadership of its chairman Otto Mayr and opened on July 8, 1900.[1] In order to minimize costs and working time, a "model house for mountaineers"[2] based on a wooden construction was purchased at the German Sports Exhibition in Munich in 1899, disassembled into individual parts and transported by train to the Tannheim Mountains, where the parts were then reassembled in a short time at the planned location. Drive from the hotel to Hohenschwangau in the direction of the Alpsee. Here the Fürstenstraße leads you to Pinswang. Here you have to cross the river Lech with a bridge to the right side. After the bridge, turn left to Musau. In Musau, there is the Bärenfalle inn on the right-hand side. From there a gravel road leads you past the Musau and Otto Mayr huts and directly to the Füssener hut. Via the same path you come back to the hotel.
