The hike begins at the Lenzbauernalm parking lot. Initially, the route leads along a forest road into the forest before turning into a charming hiking trail, where you need to be careful of slippery rocks and wet roots.
At the cold Bründl, you reach the halfway point and have the opportunity to refill your drinks. As soon as you reach the Langmoosalm, a beautiful view of the Dachstein massif opens up. From there, it is another 40 minutes to the Rötelstein summit cross from where you can see the entire Auseerland region.
The descent is the same as the ascent and ends with a stop at the Lenzbauernalm.
