The Ruinaulta, or Rhine Gorge, runs below Ilanz to Flims, as far as Reichenau near Bonaduz. Over thousands of years, the river has created a landscape of incomparable beauty here. It is often referred to as the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.
The Vorderrhein offers easy to medium white water, suitable for (almost) everyone from the age of 10 - especially for families, groups, companies and school or youth groups.
In approx. two hours on the river (total time required approx. 3.5 hours) you will experience the entire Rhine gorge from Ilanz to Reichenau. If you have more time, a day trip is also possible: you also raft from Ilanz to Reichenau, but stop halfway for a comprehensive barbecue lunch in the heart of the gorge, right on the riverbank. There is room for 9 people per boat. The offer can also be booked as a private tour.
