Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic and flowing yoga style that combines movement and breathing. Each posture (asana) flows gently into the next and can be accompanied by the rhythm of the breath, similar to a dance. This practice can promote strength, flexibility, balance and mindfulness in equal measure.
The focus is on the flow, i.e. the harmonious transition between positions. Conscious breathing can create a meditative flow of movement that brings body and mind into harmony and provides new energy.
