We know the Stubai backcountry like the back of our hand, and are therefore your competent partners for all freeride and ski touring excursions in our home.\n\nSAFETY EQUIPMENT:\nOn all of our trips we supplement your safety equipment free of charge. Shovels, probes and PIEPS, packed in an airbag backpack are available for you. Helmets are also compulsory on the descent during our ski touring courses.\n\nEQUIPMENT LIST:\nYou should have the following items in your backpack for our ski touring courses: An equipment list as PDF will follow shortly... The weight plays a big role here! Please organize your backpacks so that they never have more than about 10 kilos! Especially with airbag systems you have to be careful that you can still carry the whole equipment.\n\nCONDITION:\nFor our beginner courses, the Rookie Touring courses, you need to be fit for about 400 - 600 vertical meters per day. A certain basic level of fitness is always an advantage, especially if you have to learn new movements at altitude. For the Advance groups you will need up to 1000 meters of altitude per day, for the Pro Group you need to be as fit as an ibex.\n\nSKI TOURING:\nHigh-quality ski touring equipment can be rented and tested at Sport Hofer. For the Hike and Ride tours on the glacier we recommend the Inter Sport Shop on the Eisgrat. Before a ski tour the personal equipment must be checked for function and safety, this works best at our office.
