Summit tour to the Vermoispitze

Helpful facts

The Vermoispitze is one of the most panoramic summit destinations in the Vinschgau Valley.

We meet at the valley station of the cable car in Latsch and take the cable car to St. Martin im Kofel. Over the St. Martiner Alpl we catch sight of our goal, which we had already set our sights on from the cable car mountain station. We soon reach the timberline, after which we climb with increasing steepness, first over the grassy flank, then up over steep terrain to the mostly visible summit cross. The low view is just as impressive as the mountain views to the surrounding Ötztal Alps, the Hasenöhrl opposite and into the Martell Valley to the white glacier giants. After an extensive rest, we go down via the ascent path to St. Martin im Kofel where we stop at the mountain inn and from there take the cable car back to Latsch.
