Eisriesenwelt Werfen

The Eisriesenwelt is one of the largest ice caves in the world with about 30,000 m°2. You will discover the most powerful ice figures on earth in the halls and your efforts while visiting the unique cave system will be richly rewarded. Temperature around -1°C, warm clothes and sturdy shoes are required! For the visit you should plan a total of about 3-4 hours.

Tip: Due to the high number of visitors (especially on bad weather days), we recommend that you visit the Eisriesenwelt early in the morning, as you can expect longer waiting times during the day if necessary.

Opening hours: The cave is open daily until October 31, 2023 from 08:30 to 15:00.
