The mill hiking trail along the Löbauer Wasser leads past the Schneidermühle mill next to my property. The Löbauer Wasser flows around my property in a meandering pattern.
We start at the bus stop in Cannewitz (300 m from the vacation home) and travel to the Gröditz Skala bus stop. From there we walk approx. 800 m to Gröditz Castle with its park, which is well worth seeing. Take the steps to the left of the castle down into the rocky valley. On the level of the river, we walk under shady trees for approx. 3 km to the left of the Löbauer Wasser. We cross the river at a bridge and look out over the valley from the rocky spur. Our route continues to a railroad viaduct and an old watermill that is still awaiting restoration. A little later, we see the Kotitzer Niedermühe in a very picturesque location, which can also be visited by appointment. The route takes us along the former railroad line to Weißenberg, from where we take the R 107 bus back to Cannewitz.
