Rustic customs, folk music, muscle power and small wood - the 18th Zillertal Wood Chopping Championships on Saturday, 15.08.2026 in Tux-Lanersbach offers all of this in one go. Once again, the best wood choppers from the Zillertal and the surrounding area will show how they can turn the Tux forests into firewood with plenty of strength, the right technique and considerable speed.

Procedure:

From 11:00 am: Start of the festival

From 1:00 pm: Musical entertainment by the Kasermandl Duo

From 2:00 pm: Start of the wood chopping championship

From 8:00 pm: Wood chopping party in the Süßes Löchl
