Description

This hike takes you into the heart of the gigantic mountain scenery of the Catinaccio!

The Paolina chairlift (right next to the hotel) takes you up from the Alpenrose to the Paolina hut at 2127 m, the starting point of the Catinaccio circuit.

After around 45 minutes, we ascend via the beautiful Hirzlweg trail to the Vajolon Pass at 2560 m, where we take a short break and enjoy the wonderful view. The descent is via the Rotwand hut 2283 m, through forest and meadows to the passo di costalunga 1745 m and on to the Alpenrose.

Challenging hike - good fitness and surefootedness required

Ticket required for the Paolina chairlift (for a fee) or Mountain Pass

Walking time approx. 05:00 h - altitude difference: 420 m uphill / 920 m downhill
