Stubnerkogel, Bad Gastein, Österreich

Alpendorf 16, Sankt Johann im Pongau
On January 10 and 11, 2023, the superstars of the snowboard scene will meet in the Gasteinertal Valley. At the FIS Snowboard World Cup, around 80 women and men will fight in the qualification for hundredths of a second, for one of the 16 starting places for the big floodlight.
Already since 2001 the much-noticed snowboard - races take place every year on the Buchebenwiese in Bad Gastein. The event has meanwhile become one of the most important and also most popular of the World Cup Tour. No wonder: In addition to the magnificent Gastein mountains, the event also scores with local top athletes such as Julia Dujmovits, Claudia Riegler, Andreas Prommegger or Benjamin Karl.
Many stars at the only home race
The stars of the scene will once again put in a great effort at the only alpine snowboard World Cup race in Austria with its unique atmosphere and will deliver thrilling duels. But the young stars also have a loud word to say - such as Daniela Ulbing, who celebrated a home victory in the parallel slalom and team event in 2017. They all appreciate the selective race slope in the midst of the majestic Hohe Tauern.
