* Easy excursion to the Marxegger with Sonja

Directly on the main Alpine ridge beneath the Zillertal Alps, the village of Rio Bianco is located in a side valley of the Valle Aurina. The path proceeds uphill in serpentines until we reach a flat pasture then a short descent follows before we start the last ascent up to the Marxegger mountain hut in the Wurmtal valley.

The mountain hut offers local dishes and we enjoy our break with a gorgeous view .

Start with the hotel shuttle (limited numbers of participants, possibility to follow with your own car).

Total walking time ca. 3 hours, altitude difference ca. 475 m.
