Helpful facts

Santa Caterina Valfurva offers cross-country skiing enthusiasts numerous routes surrounded by lush nature.

The Valtellina track winds through a wide plain and thick forests at an altitude of 1800 m and features 5- and 10-kilometer loops, ups and downs, and drops between 190 m and 390 m. The track features original technical solutions and a challenging downhill, much appreciated by the most experienced cross-country skiers.

But Santa Caterina is excellence for everyone: alongside the competitive track there is also a tourist track with 2, 3 and 5 km loops, which are easier and accessible even to non-professionals.

At the start of the Valtellina slope is also the La Fonte center.

Managed directly by the instructors of the Scuola Sci Fondo, the center is a real point of reference for all fans of the sport and has changing rooms, waxing room, clothing and equipment storage to make the skiing experience even more comfortable.

Santa Caterina Valfurva's high altitude and privileged location guarantee perfect snow conditions on all trails throughout the winter season.
