Did you know? The Wagnerhof also has its own farm, which is run with great care by Josef’s dad and brother. About 110 animals, including 40–50 dairy cows, provide fresh milk every day—which, by the way, you can enjoy every morning at our breakfast buffet. 🥛
Last year, the barn was converted from a traditional tie-stall barn to a modern free-stall barn—an important step toward even greater animal welfare and sustainability. The farm is located right next to the cross-country skiing lounge. If you’d like, feel free to stop by! Starting at 5:00 p.m., the cows are usually up there—you might even get a sip of fresh milk straight from the source. 😊
🌾 A bit of history for those interested:
Until 1990, the farm and the hotel were still under one roof.
In 1990, the new farm was built on the outskirts of town.
In 2000, the old barn was converted into additional guest rooms, the front desk, and the elevator.
For us, down-to-earth values, sustainability, and a connection to nature simply go hand in hand. That’s why we’re proud that the farm and the hotel have been a perfect match for generations.
