Wasserkuppe

The Wasserkuppe is a paradise for hikers, skiers, gliders and paragliders - and at 950 m, it is the highest mountain in the Rhön.

The Fulda river rises at the summit and a toboggan run leads down into the valley in summer. In winter, the mountain is one of the skiing highlights of the region with six lifts. Also worth seeing: the small town of Gersfeld to the south of the Wasserkuppe.
