Cultural Wagrain - Silent Night & Waggerl Museum

Wagrain also offers cultural experiences away from sport and nature. The Pflegerschlössl Wagrain is home to the Silent Night Museum, which is dedicated to the life and work of Joseph Mohr - the poet of the world-famous Christmas carol "Silent Night". Original documents and an interactive exhibition shed light on Mohr's last years in Wagrain. Not far from here is the Waggerl Haus Museum, the former home of the poet Karl Heinrich Waggerl, which today offers insights into his work and rural life in times gone by. A combined ticket allows you to visit both museums (valid for 3 consecutive days). During the summer months, concert evenings, farmers' markets and church tours are also regularly organized in Wagrain, which are listed in the guest folder under "Culture". This gives guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in local history and tradition - be it on a museum journey through time or a folkloristic event on the market square.
