The Lechtal Alps tower imposingly, at the foot of which lies the idyllic village of Dawin. We are rewarded with a small lake and a mighty Alpine panorama on this very beautiful and easy circular hike. Stop off at the Dawinalm! We are not denied the view of a glacier either, and with a bit of luck we might find a porcini mushroom or two. We start after a short drive near the Grinner ski hut, through lovely forest and meadows, following a broad ridge through cranberries and mushrooms to above the tree line. Once there, it almost knocks your socks off when you stand in front of vertical limestone rock faces over 1000m high! You suddenly feel quite small when eagles and kites circle above you and chamois and ibex leap through the rocks not far from you. This hike is hard to beat in terms of beauty and imposing mountain scenery. What's more, hardly any tourists get lost in this place bursting with beauty.
