Stanzer Zwetschke enjoyment route - schnapps culture in its purest form

A sheltered, sunny location, the dry and warm climate, skillful irrigation and the diligence of the locals have created a plum paradise in Stanz. This is where the famous "Stanzer Zwetschke" plum grows, which made the village the first distillery village in Austria.

The hike begins with a bus ride from Landeck train station to Grins at 11:50 am. You walk through the village of Grins to the sports field and continue along the forest path to Wasseralp in the direction of Stanz. There you will visit one of the numerous distilleries, which invite you to a schnapps tasting. Together you will take the bus to Landeck at 5 p.m.
