Fortress Altfinstermünz

The Finstermünz border fortress, or Altfinstermünz, is located at the foot of the pass of the same name directly on the Inn river.

Finster? that was once upon a time. Thanks to careful restoration, the former border and customs station presents itself as a beautiful and interesting monument to the "dark" Middle Ages that will amaze all visitors. Open in summer, once a week in winter. Barrier-free access via the cycle and hiking trail thanks to the new cycle bridge.
