From the Rotwand meadows to the Kreuzberg Pass in the Sesto Dolomites

Scenic high trail from the Rotwand meadows to the Kreuzberg Pass with impressive views of the Dolomites.

The Rotwand cable car takes you comfortably up to the mountain station at 1934 m. From there, the hike climbs gently among vegetated boulders to the shoulder of Schellaboden. Beneath the impressive Sesto Rotwand and Neunerkofel, the trail traverses eastwards to a wide path leading down to the Kreuzberg Pass. Return by public bus to Moos, then about 10 minutes on foot back to the starting point.

Backpacking provisions or refreshments possibility.

Difficulty: easy, suitable for families.

Length: 7 km.

Walking time: 2,5 hours.

Difference in altitude: ascent 145 m, descent 435 m.
