Helpful facts

The Schartlkamm tour is a real bike highlight in Latsch. The shuttle takes us from the Maxx Bike Shop into the Martell Valley to the Premstlhof farm at 1,520 meters. On asphalt, it's already pretty zippy to the Radundhof farm, where we turn steeply left onto the Saugwies forest path directly after the farm entrance (private property). Now begins an approximately one-hour steep ascent up to 2,200 meters above sea level, where the forest road ends at an avalanche barrier. After a short but necessary breather, we shoulder (carry) the bike and follow trail number "3" (surefootedness required) for around 45 minutes to the Göflaner Schartl at 2,396 meters. We are rewarded for the arduous ascent with a sensational view of the entire Vinschgau Valley. After a good break, the top-class trail fun begins. Always over the ridge between the Vinschgau Valley and the Martelltal Valley, we rock down towards the tree line, sometimes over tricky passages. The trail is no less challenging until we reach the Kreuzjöchl and Holy Hanson junction. Here, the group decides which of the two variants to take for the rest of the descent. Regardless of which option we choose, we return to Latsch on exciting trails. The tour will be an indescribable experience for fitness and technique enthusiasts. We definitely recommend knee pads!
