Helpful facts

The Aare Gorge is a 1400m long and 200m deep natural wonder. It is located in the Haslital, in the eastern Bernese Oberland at the foot of the Grimsel and Susten passes.

Over footbridges and through tunnels the imposing gorge can be hiked through in about 45 minutes without any effort or danger. With its constantly cool temperature, the Aare Gorge is suitable as an excursion destination on nice and hot days as a natural refreshment. When it rains, the gorge is imposing with its mysticism and the sometimes larger water masses.
