A visit to this extraordinary place, chosen by the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio as his final resting place, is an essential part of a stay on Lake Garda. Built on a hill in Gardone Riviera (BS), in a panoramic position, the Vittoriale looks like its own citadel. During the guided tour you can admire, among other things, the Nave Puglia with the original prow facing the needle, the mausoleum where the poet rests, the beautiful open-air theatre recently refurbished with a marble floor, the M.A.S. (motorboat anti-submersible) used during one of D' Annunzio's most famous exploits, and the private gardens. Tour in English and/or Italian only.
