Animal open-air ground Bavarian Forest National Park

Typical wild animals, which are and were native to the Bavarian Forest, are shown in the National Park in two open-air animal enclosures and aviaries. So it's almost like being in the wild - including many retreat possibilities for the animal inhabitants. Circular paths with shortcuts lead through the forest areas. The grounds are suitable for prams and wheelchairs, cleared in winter and freely accessible all year round. In Ludwigsthal, a reconstructed stone age cave puts you in the right mood for animals from earlier times. In both animal enclosures you can learn more interesting facts about the animals and their way of life on guided tours.
