Tour description

This short and scenic winter hike starts at the Niger Pass. From here, you follow hiking trail no. 1, which climbs steadily through an open winter landscape to the Messnerjoch hut.

Along the way, you will be accompanied by impressive views of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten, which is particularly clear and rich in contrast in winter. The trail is technically easy and pleasant to walk. The return route is relaxed and follows the same route back to the Niger Pass. Please note that the trail is also used as a toboggan run in winter.
